We’re in this together.

Business

We in the corporate housing industry are deeply familiar with the feelings of loss, isolation, fear, and uncertainty that arise when a crisis invades our homes. The global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic will continue to unfold in the coming weeks and months. One thing we know right now is that we’re in this together, and this one thing will guide our decisions and actions as we navigate the troubled, stormy waters ahead.

We are weathering the storm. Our team is equipped to work remotely, and for safety reasons we’ve temporarily suspended regular housekeeping services. We continue to take care of our clients and residents and to respond to new business. In the coming days we will be called upon to provide safe havens for healthcare professionals separated from their families, travelers unable to return home, and others displaced in the pandemic.

Day by day, we find ourselves inventing a new normal as world leaders and their governments provide new and updated information and guidelines that affect how we operate during this global health crisis. Social distancing and quarantine concerns require fresh approaches to existing service delivery requirements, and we find ourselves making decisions we’ve never had to make before.

I found this great quote from Malena Ernman, Greta Thunberg’s mother, and wanted to share it with you. Ms. Ernman said: “We can’t solve a crisis situation until we treat it as a crisis situation. . . . It’s the crisis itself that is the solution to the crisis. Because in a crisis we change our habits and our behaviour. In a crisis we are capable of anything.”

Now is the time to embrace innovation and change. Now and throughout the days ahead of us, we’re focused on creating a caring environment and supporting each other to get the job done. Our paramount goal is – and has always been – the health and safety of our people, our families, our clients and residents. We are in this together.

Love to you all.
